Lawrence Fish Market

-Grubbing in Chicago
Sushi for a Party

It's the holiday season! Let's eat food and be merry! Problem is someone has to do the cooking, or at least know where to order from. Today's post is an idea for your upcoming Holiday party. Lawrence Fish Market up in Albany Park is a cult favorite for sushi lovers. People flock to the store to get their sushi fix whether it be just for lunch or for a party they're hosting. It's strictly takeout.

I'm by no means a sushi expert but I can tell you this isnt going to be the best sushi you ever had, that said nowhere in Chicago is. What they do here is sell rolls and platters for a ridiculous price. You might think that the quality of the fish suffers but I don't feel it does, compared to other spots of it's caliber anyway. The most expensive roll is something like $10 while most are around $5.

So if you're hosting a holiday party and wanted to put a spread of sushi on the table I would suggest checking these guys out. They seem to make up for the cheap prices with always being busy. Every time I've stopped in there were a few others coming in to pick up large orders. Check them out.
