Tommy's on grand is a quintessential Chicago style fast food shack. They have everything from beef to burgers and hot dogs and gyros. Inside there's Chicago memorabilia on the walls and outside you'll find plenty of space to enjoy your food. Tommy's is owned by the team behind Hollywood Grill and also The Hat. The former of which is similar to Tommy's. Both are favorites in their respective hoods.

What caught my eye about Tommy's was the little section on their menu labeled Mexican Hot Dogs. There's just two of them (Chilango and Chilanga) and both come wrapped in bacon. Mexican style hot dogs aren't all that common in Chicago but there is a good place in La Villita to get them. As far as the product at Tommy's it was decent but not the flavors I was hoping for in an authentic Mexican Danger Dog. The Chilango came with chipotle mayo, tomato, grilled onions and grilled jalapenos. The mayo was overpowering while the onions and jalapenos were a little too much as far as quantity.
