Bubs Subs

-The Sammy's of Chi (land)

Recently this past winter we took a ride out West. She was looking for wedding dresses and a store in St. Charles caught her eye. So then it was up to me to decide where to go eat around there while she tried on dresses. First choice was closed for a family emergency so instead I took a 20 minute ride further west and checked out a local sandwich shop with lots of positive online reviews.

Bub's Subs caught my eye due to the fact they make their own Italian Beef in house. So I went in with the expectation of a beef with hot but instead ended up with the El Nino. Listed under the Italian Beef subs section this was a really good sandwich. Usually I'm not for toppings other than sweet or hot on my beef but this was more like a roast beef sandwich than an Italian Beef. It's topped with Pepperjack Cheese, Chipotle Mayo, Tapatio Hot Sauce, and Homemade Giardiniera. The bread is baked in-house but still kind of reminds me of the franchised sub shops product, but that homemade beef is pretty damn good. I mean I wouldn't drive from the city but I would go back if near there.
